How do you turn a sterile white box into a home?

The splendid results of a flat renovation

We started with a 'blank canvas' that was anything but inspiring: a bare, soulless white box filled with hanging wires, mismatched surfaces, and questionable technical work. Despite the initial state, I loved every moment of the process. From navigating sloped ceilings and complex floor plans to coordinating with contractors, every challenge was worth the effort.

By finalizing the furniture and decor selections before the first hammer swung, we ensured that every piece had its perfect place, avoiding unnecessary work and staying on track. Of course, no renovation is without its surprises - but more on that in a bit!

Nestled in picturesque Hévíz, at the foot of the Egregy wine hills and along the famous Blue Tour route, you’ll find this stunning first-floor gem. Thanks to its southwest orientation and windows in every room, the apartment is bathed in natural light from sunrise to sunset.

The layout is designed for modern living. The heart of the home is an open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area that flows naturally onto a private balcony - perfect for entertaining. The custom-designed kitchen features high-quality appliances, clean white countertops, and light oak accents, all tied together by a vibrant green sofa and reading nook.

Beyond the social spaces, the apartment offers a cozy bedroom on the main floor and a spacious, flexible gallery upstairs - perfect for a home office, media room, or second bedroom. Complete with a spa-like bathroom and ample custom storage, this home is a masterclass in thoughtful design.

This flat is waiting now for the new owner to move in.
